Texas Deer Hunt – Part 2
Prices can vary from one lease to another lease depending on the size of the land. Seasonal hunts or daily hunts will have different fees.
Even though you get to set your own rules for the size of deer hunted and the quantity taken on your own lease, you still need to comply with Parks & Wildlife Department state rules.
Each person is allowed to hunt and take deer under the laws of the county the lease is in, but you also must obey federal rules if you will be transporting your kill.
Some tracks of land that are leased have type of camp facility such as bunk houses, but many have no accommodations. If you plan to put up a camp it should be only temporary and hopefully near the game.
If the game is at the far end of a thousand acres lease you don’t want to be camping on the wrong side. You want to be only a short drive or walk to your hunting site.
Small towns near by will be able to supply you with all the hunting supplies you will need should you run low. They also offer affordable hotels and restaurants.
The most important thing to remember is to enjoy your Texas deer hunts and be sure to share your hunting stories with friends and family.
