Texas Deer Hunts – Part 1
Texas Deer Hunts are done on Texas hunting leases which can be found using an online map of Texas. Hunting leases are leased by individual people who then set up times to hunt on this land.
If you have a chance to hunt in Texas, remember that you can hunt more than deer. You can also hunt a wide variety of other animals. Leases also conduct wild hog, turkey antelope, quail and other wild life hunts.
You can take a fully guided or semi guided tour. You can get packaged hunts for a day or a week. Yearly leases are also available, as well as seasonal leases. Hunting clubs may have a leased land for their members to hunt on.
There are leases that only allow bow hunting for whitetail deer or antelope. Since regular deer hunting is changing you might want to try out bow hunting for your deer or antelope.
Most leased land is small tracts from 50 acres to about 1000 acres. These pieces of land can be leased to a group of hunters usually with 50 acres for each hunter.
If you do your own lease you can decide who is on the lease and you will not have to hunt with strangers. You will even get to set the rules to the size of the group to hunt, and determine the size of the animals to be taken. You will also determine the general rules that apply to the hunt.
Some of the lands are not connected but may be close enough together that you may be able to hunt more than one lease from one main camp. Smaller acres can be grouped together to make a larger lease
